cannot install partition

Hi,
When I tried installing windows Vista Beta 2, it gets to the point of choosing the partition but keeps saying 'Cannot find suitible system disc', even though it formatted a 40 GB partition for it. I don't understand why it can't find a suitable installation drive. :s

Is the drive formatted as a NTFS partition? How did you launch setup, from a DVD or Virtual Drive?
